Abortion facility closures are outpacing the opening of new abortion centers, a report from Operation Rescue reveals. Cheryl Sullenger, a leader with the pro-life group, notes that in the first five months of 2017, 21 abortion and abortion referral facilities have closed, while only five centers opened in the United States.<\/p>\n

The 21 closures include:<\/p>\n

\u2022 Seven surgical abortion facilities.
\n\u2022 Five medication abortion facilities.
\n\u2022 Nine abortion referral facilities.<\/p>\n

Recently, Planned Parenthood announced that it will be closing 10 facilities, many of which do not commit abortions. Although the corporation continues to battle for its place at the table for\u00a0taxpayer funding, it is shutting down facilities and eliminating health services while increasing abortions. In Wyoming<\/a>, for example, Planned Parenthood shut down its last standing location, admitting that local health centers already provide health care for women.<\/p>\n

In Iowa<\/a>,\u00a0Planned Parenthood announced that four facilities will shut down after Gov. Terry Branstad signed a bill prohibiting Medicaid funding from the abortion corporation.<\/p>\n
