{"id":166455,"date":"2017-05-27T09:20:10","date_gmt":"2017-05-27T13:20:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.liveaction.org\/news\/?p=166455"},"modified":"2017-05-26T17:12:20","modified_gmt":"2017-05-26T21:12:20","slug":"abortionist-describes-seeing-fetal-body-parts-dismisses-as-only-organic-matter","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/abortionist-describes-seeing-fetal-body-parts-dismisses-as-only-organic-matter\/","title":{"rendered":"Abortionist describes seeing fetal body parts, dismisses them as only &#8216;organic matter&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;\" class=\"sharethis-inline-share-buttons\" ><\/div><p>In a passage in his pro-abortion book <em>Life\u2019s Work: From the Trenches, a Moral Argument for Choice<\/em>, abortionist Willie Parker describes seeing the body parts of the babies he aborts, including \u201chead, body, limbs.\u201d He describes piecing the dead, dismembered babies\u00a0together \u201clike a puzzle.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Parker is a well-known abortionist who has been hailed in the media as a hero who stands up to anti-abortion protestors and compassionately serves women. <a href=\"http:\/\/truth-out.org\/buzzflash\/commentary\/dr-willy-parker-christian-abortion-provider\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">One article<\/a>\u00a0calls him \u201cthe Bravest Christian Abortion Provider in the US.\u201d\u00a0While\u00a0claiming to be a devout Christian, Parker commits abortions up to\u00a025 weeks, past the time when some preborn babies can live outside their mother\u2019s wombs. In fact, a baby born at 25 weeks <a href=\"https:\/\/www.verywell.com\/premature-birth-and-viability-2371529\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">has a 50 percent chance of surviving<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>A <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/well-known-abortionist-admits-not-reporting-incest-sending-teen-victim-back-to-her-abuser\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">previous Live Action article<\/a>\u00a0about Parker\u00a0quotes him admitting to sending a teenage incest victim back to her abuser. Even though the victim\u00a0was still a teen, Parker did not report the abuse. He justified his inaction by making defamatory statements about\u00a0her race and religion.<\/p>\n<p>In <em>Life\u2019s Work,<\/em> Parker describes what happens in a first trimester abortion. After dilating the woman\u2019s cervix (the neck of the womb) with metal instruments, Parker says:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Then I insert a straw, called a cannula\u2026 and attach that to a suction tube which leads to a canister by my feet. I flip a switch on the canister body, which turns on the vacuum, and, with a circular motion, I sweep the walls of the uterus with the tube. Within the space of a couple of minutes, the products of conception are sucked through the tube and into the canister.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/liveaction.org\/petition\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-160409\" src=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/DefundAd-400b-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"170\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Although Parker uses the euphemism \u201cproducts of conception\u201d he soon reveals the reality of what has been aborted:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>I place the small mass of tissue and blood into a fine mesh strainer that looks like something you\u2019d find in an industrial kitchen, and I run the whole thing for a minute under running water. Then I transfer the contents of the strainer into a square Plexiglas dish, which I place on top of a lightbox. And there, I inspect what has just come out of the woman\u2019s body: what I\u2019m looking for is the fetal sac, which, at a later gestational age, becomes the placenta, and, after nine weeks, every one of the fetal parts \u2013 head, body, limbs \u2013 like a puzzle that has to be put back together\u2026 I make sure I find every part, and I place them together, re-creating the fetus in the pan. I have done this so many times that it is has become routine: no matter what these parts may look like, this is organic matter that does not add up to anything that can live on its own. This phase of the process is crucial as any other.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>He goes on to say that any part of the baby (like an arm or a leg) left behind in the woman\u2019s body \u201ccan lead to hemorrhage, infection, or both.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Even though Parker sees pieces of aborted babies daily, he refuses to acknowledge their humanity. Instead, he calls them &#8220;organic matter&#8221; and &#8220;products of conception.&#8221; In reality, they are fully formed preborn human beings.
