She later released a book entitled <a href=\"https:\/\/smile.amazon.com\/Walls-Are-Talking-Abortion-Workers-ebook\/dp\/B01DL0PS0C\/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1495279056&amp;sr=8-1&amp;keywords=The+Walls+Are+Talking%3A+Former+Abortion+Clinic+Workers+Tell+Their+Stories\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>The Walls Are Talking<\/em><\/a>,\u00a0which contains the stories of many abortion workers whom she has helped leave the industry.<\/p>\n<p>She quotes one former Planned Parenthood worker:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>I would counsel the women during the sedation process before their abortions. [&#8230;] One woman was there for her eleventh abortion. Eleventh! That disgusted me. One thirty-seven-year-old patient was having her seventh abortion on the same day that her daughter was having her first grandbaby. Her festive mood and celebratory attitude concerning her granddaughter\u2019s birth seemed morbid and out of place in an abortion clinic. (1)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>There are several things to take away from this quote. First, it shows that there are women who use abortion as a form of birth control. Many people assume that having an abortion is an agonizing decision, made by women only as a last resort. But the two women in this story were getting abortions repeatedly with apparently little thought. It doesn\u2019t seem logical for a woman to choose an invasive surgical procedure as her ideal method of birth control. But some women, for whatever reason, have a hard time using birth control consistently and correctly. Abortion becomes an easy way out, a habitual escape from responsibility.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00a0<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/plugins\/video.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Flisasmileypage%2Fvideos%2F380273238994780%2F&amp;show_text=0&amp;width=560\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The abortion worker in this passage is not the only one to remark on the phenomenon of repeat abortions. Abortion worker <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thefreelibrary.com\/ABORTION%3B+THIS+IS+WHAT+OUR+NURSES+REALLY+THINK...-a061178379\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Marie Stafford writes<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>I once had a young girl who\u2019d had four abortions and she said it was cheaper for her to have abortions than use any form of contraception because her boyfriend paid for the abortions. She complained about our menu, saying it wasn\u2019t as good as the last time.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Another facility worker spoke of Angie, a woman who had repeat abortions and only became horrified by her actions when she saw the body of her aborted baby <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/woman-laughs-ninth-abortion-sees-aborted-baby\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">after her ninth abortion<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>One abortionist said:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>For some it is definitely a kind of birth control. These women are on their 6th\u00a0one. They have a troubled family situation, and you feel it\u2019s in the best interest for the possible future child. In some ways I do feel that \u2013 but it doesn\u2019t make it any more pleasant. (2)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Abortionist Suzanne T. Poppema wrote, in her book <em>Why I Am an Abortion Doctor:<\/em><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>It isn\u2019t unusual for women to come in for a second or third abortion. Even a sixth abortion, while unusual, isn\u2019t unheard of. (3)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>But many abortion providers, like the abortion worker in Abby Johnson\u2019s book, are <a href=\"http:\/\/clinicquotes.com\/clinic-workers-lose-patience-with-teenagers-who-have-repeat-abortions-with\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">angered by women<\/a> who come in for repeat abortions:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>[Abortion workers] go to great lengths to help a youngster through an abortion. Despite the emotional stress of the work, they are, as they say &#8216;there for her&#8217; [&#8230;] But if the same 15 year old becomes a repeater and returns at 16 and 17, and if she develops a cool attitude toward the counseling experience, the reaction is different. The counselor loses her own professional distance.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Another abortionist, <a href=\"http:\/\/clinicquotes.com\/abortionist-wants-to-beat-the-sht-out-of-one-of-his-patients-who-had-multiple-abortions\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">quoted by pro-choice author<\/a> Linda Bird Francke said:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>I have one kid here, seventeen, who\u2019s just had her third\u00a0abortion\u2026 I want to beat the sh*t out of her. I want to put her through the damn wall. &#8216;What\u2019s the matter with you?&#8217; I say to her. Every time she thinks a relationship is going on the rocks, she gets pregnant. Then she has an abortion and starts up a new relationship. She swears every time she has an abortion that she won\u2019t screw again. I tell her screwing isn\u2019t the problem, protection is.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>He, like the unnamed former worker in Johnson\u2019s book, gets very angry at women who have abortions again and again.<\/p>\n<p>But the question is, why? If abortion is just the removal of some tissue, an operation of no moral significance, what does it matter if a woman has two or three or even sixteen? In a recent <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/slate-writer-hates-calling-abortion-murder-cant-explain\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Live Action article<\/a>,\u00a0writer <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/author\/calvin-freiburger\/\">Calvin Freiburger<\/a>\u00a0quotes a pro-abortion <a href=\"http:\/\/www.slate.com\/blogs\/xx_factor\/2017\/05\/11\/oklahoma_s_resolution_calling_abortion_murder_is_an_insult_to_parents_and.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">author from <em>Slate<\/em><\/a> saying:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>To insist that a miniscule [sic] clump of tissue is of equivalent substance and value to a child who has been born, nurtured, and loved is to gravely insult any parent and her actual children.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>So why is aborting this \u201cminuscule clump of tissue\u201d such a big deal? No one gets upset about removing a tumor or a diseased tooth. If abortion is a simple as removing tissue, why are these abortion providers so angry when women come back again and again?<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_166575\" style=\"width: 204px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-166575\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-166575\" src=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/walls-are-talking-194x300.jpg\" alt=\"photo via Amazon\" width=\"194\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/walls-are-talking-194x300.jpg 194w, https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/walls-are-talking.jpg 224w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 194px) 100vw, 194px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-166575\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The Walls are Talking by Abby Johnson<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The truth is, these abortion workers acknowledge that abortion is far more significant than the removal of some tissue. Abortion workers see the bodies of aborted children daily. <a href=\"http:\/\/clinicquotes.com\/aboftion-clinic-workers-talk-while-they-look-through-dead-baby-parts\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">They see arms, legs, fingers, and toes<\/a>. They know it is not a \u201cminuscule clump of tissue\u201d being aborted, but a human baby. The fact that abortionists and abortion workers acknowledge the humanity of the preborn is the only explanation for their anger at women who take abortion lightly. Otherwise, there would be no need to get angry.<\/p>\n<p>The last thing to take away from the quote is that the abortion worker was counseling women \u201cduring the sedation process.\u201d Was this the only counseling the women received at that facility? If a woman is only given counseling when she is already prepped for the procedure, on the abortion table, how does this counseling help her? When the anesthesia is given, the woman most likely isn&#8217;t thinking clearly. She is already on the abortion table, her consciousness fading. At this late stage, what could the counseling accomplish?
