He said this is &#8220;not negotiable&#8221; and that the DNC will not support pro-life Democrats.<\/p>\n<p>What caused the pro-abortion edict? Heath Mello, a Democrat running for mayor of Omaha, Nebraska. Mello is pro-abortion, but he also has <a href=\"http:\/\/www.liveaction.org\/news\/democrats-under-fire-for-supporting-mayoral-candidate-who-sponsored-pro-life-law\/\">supported restrictions on abortion<\/a>, such as a Nebraska state bill that would require abortionists to show women ultrasound images of their preborn children. He believed that the bill could help reduce the number of abortions in Nebraska, but trying to reduce abortions is apparently\u00a0an unforgivable sin to the abortion industry and its allies.<\/p>\n<p>It was the backlash surrounding Mello that prompted DNC Chair Perez to release his statement demanding that all Democrats support abortion, no matter what. Senator Ben Sasse, a pro-life Republican who is also from Nebraska, like Mello, had something to say about that.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-lang=\"en\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">.<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/TomPerez\">@TomPerez<\/a> Your profile says you fight for the little guy. (He&#8217;s 12 weeks old.) <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/g8e6sMTaSB\">pic.twitter.com\/g8e6sMTaSB<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Ben Sasse (@BenSasse) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BenSasse\/status\/856241077799370752\">April 23, 2017<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Indeed, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/TomPerez\">Perez&#8217;s Twitter profile<\/a> reads, &#8220;Likes: The @BuffaloBills, @TheDemocrats, and fighting for the little guy, though not in that order. Father of 3.&#8221; Apparently, Perez isn&#8217;t <em>that<\/em> fond of fighting for the little guy, as he not only supports the killing of little human beings whenever their mothers feel like it, but also\u00a0<em>mandates<\/em> that all Democrats support it, too.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/liveaction.org\/petition\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-160409\" src=\"http:\/\/www.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/DefundAd-400b-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"170\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Sasse shows\u00a0a preborn baby at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.liveaction.org\/news\/12-amazing-facts-prove-preborn-humanity-first-trimester\/\">12 weeks gestation<\/a>\u00a0as his example of &#8220;the little guy.&#8221;\u00a0Already, this baby has undergone <a href=\"http:\/\/www.liveaction.org\/news\/12-amazing-facts-prove-preborn-humanity-first-trimester\/\">tremendous development<\/a>, even though it&#8217;s still early on in pregnancy. His heart has been\u00a0beating since\u00a0<a href=\"\/news\/babys-heart-begins-to-beat-as-early-as-16-days-after-conception-study-finds\/\">as early as 16 days after conception<\/a>, and at six and a half weeks, the baby already had measurable brain waves. By 12 weeks, his\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ehd.org\/dev_article_unit12.php\">taste buds<\/a>\u00a0have formed, and he can respond to touch. Most of the\u00a0baby&#8217;s\u00a0organs and bodily systems are fully formed at this point, too. One new study even suggests that preborn babies at 12 weeks <a href=\"http:\/\/www.liveaction.org\/news\/new-study-finds-preborn-babies-may-feel-pain-in-first-trimester\/\">can already feel pain<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Yet Perez isn&#8217;t willing to fight for <em>this<\/em> little guy. Instead, he wants it to be mandatory for Democrats to support the brutal and violent murder of preborn babies just like him. The video below features a former abortionist discussing what happens in a D&amp;E abortion, the most common second-trimester abortion procedure in the United States.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/jgw4X7Dw_3k\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>How is supporting this procedure (and other <a href=\"https:\/\/www.abortionprocedures.com\">common abortion procedures<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 all equally violent and inhumane) fighting for the little guy, Mr. Perez? It&#8217;s even more galling considering that approximately <a href=\"\/news\/pro-life-democrats-presidential-candidates-must-open-pro-life-dialogue\/\">one third of all Democrats are pro-life<\/a>. That doesn&#8217;t even include the Americans who want abortion to be legal but heavily regulated \u2013\u00a0the majority of &#8220;pro-choice&#8221; Americans fall into this category.<\/p>\n<p>So whom is Perez really fighting for? Whom is he advocating for his party to fight for? It&#8217;s not <em>really<\/em>\u00a0the little guy. It&#8217;s not the American people.
