One fact\u00a0we know thanks to science is that life begins at conception. And scientists are continuing to learn more about\u00a0this. Last year, researchers found that a zinc “spark”<\/a>\u00a0is released\u00a0when the sperm fertilizes the egg, at which point a new life is conceived.<\/p>\n

The pro-abortion movement knows that this is when life begins. Some abortion proponents have\u00a0admitted<\/a>\u00a0that abortion ends a human life. So have\u00a0those who have worked in the abortion industry<\/a>,\u00a0as revealed in Live Action\u00a0video projects<\/a>\u00a0involving conversations with former Planned Parenthood workers from Planned Parenthood.<\/p>\n

And yet, the March for Science, which occurred on April 22nd (Earth Day), made no mention of the right to life, though it is <\/em>a scientific cause, as Cullen Herout writes for<\/a>\u00a0the Federalist.<\/p>\n

Planned Parenthood Action Fund\u00a0jumped on the “science” bandwagon\u00a0with a blog by Liz Galst, titled,\u00a0“It’s Science: 5 Facts You Need to Know About Abortion<\/a>.”\u00a0And as you’d expect from the organization that commits 34 percent of all abortions in the\u00a0United States<\/a>, readers are treated to biased, pro-abortion talking points.<\/p>\n

There’s nothing in the blog about how life begins at conception, but here are the five “facts” Planned Parenthood felt were pro-science:<\/p>\n

1. “Abortion is really safe,” writes Galst.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Safe for whom, Ms. Galst? Oh, that’s right — the growing preborn child directly killed in an abortion is completely ignored. Abortion can\u00a0never be\u00a0“really safe” for the child who dies.<\/p>\n

But the safety of\u00a0the child’s mother\u00a0is at risk<\/a>\u00a0as well, even though the abortion industry makes the dubious claim<\/a> that abortion is safer than childbirth, and that there are low chances of complications or trauma. But the truth is that there are many\u00a0potential side effects and risks<\/a> of abortion, and\u00a0abortion is certainly\u00a0made no more safe when the abortion industry seeks to dismiss and discredit<\/a>\u00a0the mere possibility of their occurrence.<\/p>\n

The abortion industry\u00a0should not be left <\/a>to regulate itself<\/a>, but unfortunately, much of the time, it is. Because of this, it has been regarded as<\/a>\u00a0one of the nation’s greatest health crises. Unfortunately, however, it is often the abortion industry which is protected<\/a>\u00a0instead of women. In the Whole Woman’s Health v. Hellerstedt<\/em> decision<\/a> last summer, even the U.S. Supreme Court chose abortion access — no matter how unsafe it may be<\/a> — over\u00a0women’s health and safety.<\/p>\n

2. Medication abortion “is safe and effective,” claims Galst, responding to\u00a0unnamed sources which say\u00a0it doesn’t work.<\/strong><\/p>\n

For women who took the abortion pill regimen with the idea that they were undergoing something similar<\/a>\u00a0to a heavy period<\/a>,\u00a0but instead experienced a\u00a0host of harrowing<\/a> events<\/a> and side effects, the pill wasn’t quite as “safe” as they expected.
