{"id":163457,"date":"2017-03-06T22:07:28","date_gmt":"2017-03-07T03:07:28","guid":{"rendered":"\/news\/?p=163457"},"modified":"2017-03-06T22:07:28","modified_gmt":"2017-03-07T03:07:28","slug":"chicago-planned-parenthood-calls-911-reports-info-wrong-patient","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/chicago-planned-parenthood-calls-911-reports-info-wrong-patient\/","title":{"rendered":"Chicago Planned Parenthood calls 911, reports info on wrong patient"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;\" class=\"sharethis-inline-share-buttons\" ><\/div><p>On March 3, Operation Rescue <a href=\"http:\/\/www.operationrescue.org\/archives\/911-call-confusion-at-planned-parenthood-over-which-patient-needed-an-ambulance\/\">reported<\/a> that a Planned Parenthood center in Chicago put 911 dispatchers on hold for 25 seconds after\u00a0staff began reporting information for the wrong patient.<\/p>\n<p>Planned Parenthood staff working at the Near North Center called for an ambulance on November 1, 2016, when a patient began experiencing &#8220;extremely high blood pressure.&#8221; Operation Rescue notes that &#8220;[o]nce the right information was given to the dispatcher, it was redacted by the City of Chicago.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The Planned Parenthood on La Salle Drive is noted to have been the likely site of an abortion death in 2012 &#8212; that of Tonya Reaves, who died after abortionist Mandy Gittler perforated Reaves&#8217; uterus during a second trimester abortion and then neglected to call an ambulance for five hours while Reaves hemorrhaged internally.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/liveaction.org\/petition\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-160409 aligncenter\" src=\"\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/DefundAd-400b-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"170\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Operation Rescue says that &#8220;Planned Parenthood later settled a wrongful death lawsuit filed by Reaves\u2019 family for $1.5 million.&#8221; Despite this, abortionist Gittler <a href=\"http:\/\/liveactionnews.org\/planned-parenthood-retains-improperly-licensed-abortionist-killed-patient\/\">was not fired<\/a> by Planned Parenthood, but instead transferred\u00a0to another facility in a neighboring state.<\/p>\n<p>Live Action News&#8217; Cassy Fiano <a href=\"\/news\/autopsy-report-points-to-planned-parenthoods-negligence-in-tonya-reaves-death\/\">wrote<\/a> that\u00a0at the time of Reaves&#8217; death at the Chicago Planned Parenthood, &#8220;the\u00a0Planned Parenthood clinic where Reaves\u2019 abortion was performed was listed as\u00a0<em>not<\/em>\u00a0performing surgical abortions.
