Howard&#8217;s\u00a0\u00a0response came just hours after Live Action released undercover footage of potential patients seeking prenatal care at\u00a097 Planned Parenthood centers. Out of those 97, either called or visited in person, only five acknowledged offering\u00a0prenatal care.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ekgiScr364Y\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>In the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.12news.com\/news\/politics\/anti-abortion-video-highlights-arizona-planned-parenthood-clinic\/392327875\">12News<\/a>\u00a0report by\u00a0<span class=\"asset-metabar-author asset-metabar-item\">Brahm Resnik<\/span>, Arizona CEO Bryan Howard (referred to only as &#8220;Howard&#8221; by the news station) said Live Action&#8217;s video was &#8220;fake news&#8221; because the organization does not provide prenatal care, and never claimed they did (emphasis added): &#8220;They are taking us to task for something <strong>we never said we did<\/strong>, and trying to manufacture a controversy out of it,&#8221; added Howard. And, &#8220;In my 20 years in Arizona, we have referred (patients) for prenatal care but have <strong>never provided it directly<\/strong>.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Sound familiar? National CEO Cecile Richard gave that <em>same answer<\/em> when caught in a lie about Planned Parenthood&#8217;s mammogram\u00a0claims. &#8220;We do not have mammogram machines\u00a0at our health centers\u00a0and we&#8217;ve never stated that we did,&#8221; Richards remarked. Hmm, perhaps all the commentary about mammograms was merely meant to mislead the public about the &#8216;healthcare&#8217; they claim to provide:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/tu_0-iD-rPk\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Once again, the media, which is not very honest when it comes to reporting on Planned Parenthood, is failing to check very basic statements by Planned Parenthood operatives responding to the video.\u00a0This kind of lazy reporting\u00a0is not new. Here&#8217;s how it works:\u00a0Live Action releases video footage catching Planned Parenthood in deceptive statements or actions,\u00a0and the media (Planned Parenthood&#8217;s PR machine) comes rushing to the rescue.<\/p>\n<p>The typical <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=c2lH45m0dSg&amp;spfreload=10\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">response<\/a>\u00a0from Planned Parenthood to the media is to&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>A) Deny the evidence exposed by\u00a0Live Action, regardless of what it\u00a0is.<\/p>\n<p>B) Accuse Live Action of being an &#8216;extremist&#8217; anti-abortion group, while painting their organization &#8212; which is the\u00a0largest provider of abortions in the nation &#8212; as mainstream.<\/p>\n<p>C) Claim, without any proof, that the videos are &#8220;deceptively edited.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>These three strategic responses are all Planned Parenthood has to say as far as the mainstream media outlets\u00a0are\u00a0concerned.<\/p>\n<p>Live Action also recently interviewed a former Planned Parenthood manager\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/liveaction.org\/learn\/new-lies-planned-parenthoods-sex-trafficking-coverup\/\">stating<\/a>\u00a0how Planned Parenthood lied to the media regarding a previous undercover investigation involving the reporting of child sex traffickers to local authorities:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/phocsMQsFC4\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Today, Planned Parenthood&#8217;s PR machine is fully operational and responding to Live Action&#8217;s prenatal care video, which features comments from multiple\u00a0Planned Parenthood\u00a0employees stating\u00a0they do NOT provide prenatal care, despite the organization&#8217;s CEO,\u00a0Cecile Richards, having led the public to believe that prenatal care is one of their most important services.<\/p>\n<p>Planned Parenthood (national) has been listing\u00a0prenatal care in its\u00a0annual reports for years. Shockingly, at one time, prenatal care appeared to be Planned Parenthood\u2019s \u201cfastest growing area.\u201d This was how Planned Parenthood described the service in their 1996-1997 annual report:<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_159546\" style=\"width: 518px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-159546\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-159546 size-full\" src=\"\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Prenatal-care-PP-1996-97-annual-report.jpg\" width=\"508\" height=\"355\" srcset=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Prenatal-care-PP-1996-97-annual-report.jpg 508w, https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Prenatal-care-PP-1996-97-annual-report-300x210.jpg 300w, https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Prenatal-care-PP-1996-97-annual-report-500x349.jpg 500w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 508px) 100vw, 508px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-159546\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Prenatal care PP 1996-97 annual report<\/p><\/div>\n<p class=\"wp-caption-text\">But Planned Parenthood\u2019s short-lived initiative to \u201cimplement a comprehensive prenatal care model\u201d appears to have failed. The truth is that abortion has always been Planned Parenthood\u2019s focus, which might explain why this once \u201cfastest growing service\u201d dropped nearly 44 percent from\u00a02010 to 2014.<\/p>\n<p>So rather than admit the obvious &#8212; that Planned Parenthood deceives the American public about the services they provide &#8212; a Planned Parenthood CEO in Arizona claimed they never claimed to provide prenatal care in the state, despite the fact that their own websites claim it is. \u00a0(And, instead of fact-checking, a local media outlet published it as truth.)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>One would think this &#8220;claim&#8221; by PP&#8217;s CEO would be easy to verify, right?\u00a0That is, if you are prone to verify a story, which it seems\u00a0this reporter is not. For instance,\u00a0Resnik could have looked at some of the services Planned Parenthood of Arizona bragged about on its\u00a0Facebook page:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-161181\" src=\"\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/PP-AZ-Prenatal-Care-FB.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"506\" height=\"156\" srcset=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/PP-AZ-Prenatal-Care-FB.jpg 506w, https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/PP-AZ-Prenatal-Care-FB-300x92.jpg 300w, https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/PP-AZ-Prenatal-Care-FB-500x154.jpg 500w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 506px) 100vw, 506px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Hmm.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-161182 size-full\" src=\"\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Share-your-story-PP-Prenatal.jpg\" width=\"491\" height=\"540\" srcset=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Share-your-story-PP-Prenatal.jpg 491w, https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Share-your-story-PP-Prenatal-273x300.jpg 273w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 491px) 100vw, 491px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Oops.<\/p>\n<p>Resnick could have also done a simple search online, at Planned Parenthood&#8217;s website, and then could have\u00a0questioned CEO Howard why Live Action&#8217;s callers were told the prenatal service was not offered, while it is <em>clearly advertised online:<\/em><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-161169 size-large\" src=\"\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Temp-PP-Prenatal-Care-700x413.jpg\" width=\"700\" height=\"413\" srcset=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Temp-PP-Prenatal-Care-700x413.jpg 700w, https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Temp-PP-Prenatal-Care-300x177.jpg 300w, https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Temp-PP-Prenatal-Care-768x453.jpg 768w, https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Temp-PP-Prenatal-Care-500x295.jpg 500w, https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Temp-PP-Prenatal-Care.jpg 937w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Tempe center is one of the centers called by\u00a0Live Action for the undercover video. When the caller asked to &#8220;make an appointment for prenatal care&#8221; the Planned Parenthood staffer responded: &#8220;We don&#8217;t have prenatal care here. Planned Parenthood offers abortions, so they don&#8217;t offer prenatal care.&#8221;\u00a0Since prenatal care is clearly listed on their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.plannedparenthood.org\/health-center\/arizona\/tempe\/85281\/tempe-health-center-2808-90030\/pregnancy-testing-options\">website<\/a>, it seems reasonable to assume that&#8230; the service would be offered at that center, yes? Seems logical.\u00a0\u00a0why on earth would a caller\u00a0assume Planned Parenthood offered prenatal services? It&#8217;s only listed on their website.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s another fact of which Howard and Resnik may be unaware: Tempe <em>isn&#8217;t<\/em> the only Arizona Planned Parenthood falsely advertising prenatal care.<\/p>\n<p>Under &#8220;pregnancy testing services,&#8221; prenatal care is listed\u00a0in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.plannedparenthood.org\/health-center\/arizona\/phoenix\/85014\/central-phoenix-health-center-4200-90030\/pregnancy-testing-options\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Central Phoenix<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.plannedparenthood.org\/health-center\/arizona\/chandler\/85224\/chandler-health-center-2812-90030\/pregnancy-testing-options\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Chandler<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.plannedparenthood.org\/health-center\/arizona\/flagstaff\/86001\/flagstaff-health-center-2566-90030\/pregnancy-testing-options\">Flagstaff<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.plannedparenthood.org\/health-center\/arizona\/mesa\/85204\/mesa-health-center-2810-90030\/pregnancy-testing-options\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mesa<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.plannedparenthood.org\/health-center\/arizona\/phoenix\/85031\/maryvale-health-center-2750-90030\/pregnancy-testing-options\">Phoenix<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.plannedparenthood.org\/health-center\/arizona\/phoenix\/85032\/north-east-phoenix-health-center-2746-90030\/pregnancy-testing-options\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NE Phoenix<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.plannedparenthood.org\/health-center\/arizona\/tucson\/85712\/margaret-sanger-health-center-3261-90030\/pregnancy-testing-options\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tucson<\/a>,\u00a0and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.plannedparenthood.org\/health-center\/arizona\/glendale\/85304\/glendale-health-center-3963-90030\/pregnancy-testing-options\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Glendale<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-161171 \" href=\"http:\/\/www.yellowpages.com\/tempe-az\/prenatal-care-clinics\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Yellow Page search <\/a>for &#8220;prenatal care clinics&#8221; in the state resulted in Planned Parenthood among many others:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-161177 size-full\" src=\"\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Yellow-Pages-prenatal-Planned-Parenthood-Arizona.jpg\" width=\"687\" height=\"342\" rel=\"noopener\">masquerades<\/a>\u00a0as a &#8220;health center&#8221; so they can receive half a billion in federal tax dollars a year.<\/div>\n<div class=\"post-159542 post type-post status-publish The media should not be a format for Planned Parenthood to spew propaganda\u00a0without being challenged.
