Six-Month Undercover Investigation to Shed Light on Abortion Industry\u2019s Inhuman, Illegal, and Gruesome Practices<\/b><\/p>\n

Arlington, VA: Live Action today released an undercover video of an abortion counselor at a clinic in the Bronx, NY, describing, with gruesome details, what is done with a baby who survives an abortion attempt.\u00a0 This is the first in a series of undercover videos, found at www.liveaction.org\/inhuman<\/a>, involving a number of late-term abortion clinics engaging in illegal and inhuman practices, as well as explaining in explicit detail what happens to the victims of late-term abortion.<\/p>\n

\u201cDr. Kermit Gosnell is not alone,\u201d said Lila Rose, Founder and President of Live Action.\u00a0 \u201cThe gruesome and inhuman practices exposed in Gosnell\u2019s \u2018House of Horrors\u2019 are business as usual for the abortion industry in America.\u00a0 These children\u2019s lives are brutally destroyed when they are the most defenseless. This isn\u2019t \u2018choice\u2019; this is murder.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Bronx, NY abortion counselor is caught on tape describing, in gruesomely precise terms, how late-term abortions happen.\u00a0 She details what is done with a baby after the abortion and advises to \u201cflush\u201d the baby down the toilet if he or she is delivered at home before the final stage of the two- or three-day abortion procedure.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf it comes out, then it comes out. Flush it. … if anything, you know, put it in a bag or something or somewhere and bring it to us.\u201d<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

When Live Action\u2019s undercover investigator asks what happens to the baby after the abortion \u2013 or what the clinic would do if, after the abortion, the baby is moving \u2013 the counselor says:<\/p>\n

\u201cIf it did come out in one piece, it\u2019s very small.\u00a0 So they would still have to put it in a container \u2013 like, a jar \u2013 with solution and send it to the lab.\u201d<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

When asked what happens if the baby after the abortion is breathing or twitching, the Bronx counselor responds:<\/p>\n

\u201cThe solution will make it stop.\u00a0 It\u2019s not going to be moving around in the jar … that\u2019s the whole purpose of the solution.\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019ll automatically stop.\u00a0 It won\u2019t be able to…not with the solution.\u201d<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Rose is calling on NY state government and health officials and U.S. prosecutors to investigate the Bronx clinic and conduct a statewide investigation into other clinics that perform late-term abortions.<\/p>\n

From the letter to Health Commissioner Shah: \u201c[W]e have reason to believe that abortionists and staff at the Dr. Emily Woman’s Health Center are operating under conditions that endanger women and children to the point of disease and even death. We therefore urge you to immediately revoke the license of this clinic. \u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThese abortion clinics are abusing human life in unimaginable ways,\u201d Rose said, \u201cbut our society has become so numb to what is going on behind their doors.\u00a0 Babies born alive from a failed abortion should not be put in a jar of toxic solution, or flushed down a toilet.\u00a0 How could anyone condone this kind of inhuman and brutal treatment of a helpless, innocent child?\u201d<\/p>\n
