{"id":160152,"date":"2017-01-25T06:00:21","date_gmt":"2017-01-25T11:00:21","guid":{"rendered":"\/news\/?p=160152"},"modified":"2017-01-25T09:29:10","modified_gmt":"2017-01-25T14:29:10","slug":"if-planned-parenthood-wont-help-pregnant-women-who-will","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/if-planned-parenthood-wont-help-pregnant-women-who-will\/","title":{"rendered":"If Planned Parenthood won&#8217;t help pregnant women, who will?"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;\" class=\"sharethis-inline-share-buttons\" ><\/div><p>With the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.centerformedicalprogress.org\/cmp\/investigative-footage\/\">2015 expose<\/a> that exposed\u00a0Planned Parenthood\u00a0for allegedly\u00a0profiting from the trafficking of\u00a0<a href=\"\/news\/planned-parenthood-admits-on-tape-its-a-baby\/\">aborted baby body parts<\/a>, <a href=\"\/news\/americans-support-defunding-planned-parenthood-poll-reveals\/\">many Americans<\/a>\u00a0would like to see this organization\u00a0federally defunded.<\/p>\n<p>But Planned Parenthood has fought back, saying that if they are defunded, many women would go without necessary care since abortion is just 3 percent of what they do &#8212; a claim which was\u00a0<a href=\"\/news\/new-video-debunks-planned-parenthoods-3-percent-abortion-myth\/\">debunked<\/a> in this video:<br \/>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/qtgqxvaV-8U\" width=\"853\" height=\"480\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Another little tidbit Planned Parenthood conveniently leaves out is that\u00a0they commit about <a href=\"http:\/\/www.heritage.org\/research\/reports\/2015\/09\/disentangling-the-data-on-planned-parenthood-affiliates-abortion-services-and-receipt-of-taxpayer-funding\">one-third<\/a> of America\u2019s abortions every year. Clearly they have a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.lifesitenews.com\/news\/planned-parenthood-performed-323999-abortions-and-received-553.7-million-fr\">monopoly<\/a> in the abortion industry, but they aren&#8217;t always ready to brag about this violent anecdote. In fact, Planned Parenthood is consistently ready to claim they provide prenatal care to women who want to continue their pregnancies.<\/p>\n<p>A brand new Live Action video reveals the blatant lie behind that claim:<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ekgiScr364Y\" width=\"853\" height=\"480\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Planned Parenthood&#8217;s propensity to abort, abort, abort is\u00a0especially concerning\u00a0since abortions in the U.S. declined from 2000-2011, while\u00a0Planned Parenthood&#8217;s abortion numbers actually\u00a0<em>increased\u00a0<\/em>during those same years. Currently, America\u2019s abortions are continuing to decline, with Planned Parenthood&#8217;s numbers slowly following suit <a href=\"\/news\/abortion-numbers-us-reach-lowest-point-since-1975\/\">because fewer women are seeking abortions<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Planned Parenthood acts as if it is the only group concerned with women, and it has often tried to convince women in America to believe they need the\u00a0organization\u00a0that brings in money while <a href=\"\/news\/abortion-clinic-provided-whole-brains-for-summer-camp\/\">trafficking<\/a> <a href=\"\/news\/congressional-report-aborted-baby-with-down-syndrome-has-brain-sold-for-325\/\">the organs<\/a> of\u00a0their <a href=\"\/news\/congressional-report-aborted-baby-with-down-syndrome-has-brain-sold-for-325\/\">aborted babies<\/a>\u00a0&#8212;\u00a0often with the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mrctv.org\/blog\/whistleblower-planned-parenthood-harvests-baby-organs-without-mother-s-consent\">mothers having no idea this is happening<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>But what about <em>all <\/em>the other places that exist which truly seek to help women who find themselves in difficult and unplanned circumstances?<\/p>\n<p>There are many <a href=\"http:\/\/aaplog.org\/pregnancy-resource-centers\/\">pregnancy resource centers<\/a> (PRCs)\u00a0which more fully present a woman&#8217;s options to her instead of <a href=\"\/news\/woman-recalls-pp-visit-they-told-me-dont-have-doctors-pregnant-women\/\">almost solely pushing or encouraging abortion<\/a>, as <a href=\"\/news\/woman-recalls-pp-visit-they-told-me-dont-have-doctors-pregnant-women\/\">Planned Parenthood does<\/a>. According to the American Association of Pro-Life Obstetricians and Gynecologists, PRCs &#8220;offer hope to women&#8230; by providing practical help and emotional support&#8230; then prepare them to parent or to place for adoption.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Women who visit PRCs\u00a0are also presented with information on abortion, but are not pressured\u00a0to have abortions, and are given real information about the procedure &#8212; including <a href=\"http:\/\/www.abortionfacts.com\/reardon\/the-after-effects-of-abortion\">abortion&#8217;s physical risks<\/a>, <a href=\"\/news\/new-study-confirms-higher-risk-of-mental-health-disorders-after-abortion\/\">long-term<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/afterabortion.org\/2011\/abortion-risks-a-list-of-major-psychological-complications-related-to-abortion\/\"> side<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/www.theunchoice.com\/psychological.htm\"> effects<\/a>, and <a href=\"http:\/\/abortionprocedures.com\">what the procedure does to the woman and child involved<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Throughout North America, there are about 2,300 PRCs, which all exist to help and practically support women through their difficult circumstances.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.heartbeatinternational.org\/about\/our-story\">Heartbeat International<\/a> seeks to \u201c&#8230; reach and rescue as many lives as possible, around the world, through an effective network of life-affirming pregnancy help, to\u00a0renew communities for life\u2026,&#8221; in part through <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pregnancycenters.org\/\">OptionLine<\/a>, a 24-hour hotline which connects women with pregnancy centers in their local areas.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.care-net.org\/about\">CareNet<\/a>, another pregnancy care center organization, \u201coffers compassion, hope, and help to anyone considering abortion by presenting them with realistic alternatives and Christ-centered support through our life-affirming network&#8230;.\u201d (In the video above, Planned Parenthood even recommended that the woman needing care through her pregnancy contact CareNet instead.)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.lifeinternational.com\/our-mission-1\/\">LIFE International<\/a>\u00a0is another group which \u201chas directly equipped over 8,173 leaders to multiply the message of life. Hundreds more have received and are sharing LIFE International educational materials and training resources within their regions. LIFE International now has influence in 87 countries on six continents.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"\/news\/morning-center-amazing-work-replace-planned-parenthood\/\">The Morning Center<\/a>, yet another organization, \u201cdispels the myth that pro-lifers are unwilling to financially and practically aid pregnant women&#8230; operat[ing] under a whole-person model, desiring to meet the physical and spiritual needs of women&#8230;.&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"ArticleAd1\">\n<p><!-- \/1011927\/LAN_300_by_250_top_article --><\/p>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1473179053567-0\" class=\"ArticleAd1a\"><script>\ngoogletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-1473179053567-0'); });\n<\/script><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>In addition to the above PRCs, there are many other groups offering support for women, such as\u00a0<a href=\"\/news\/bella-natural-womens-care-fills-need-life-affirming-health-care\/\">Bella Natural Women\u2019s Care<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.standupgirl.com\/\">Stand Up Girl<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/abortionpillreversal.com\/\">Abortion Pill Reversal<\/a>\u00a0(1-877-558-0333), and a host of other pro-woman organizations &#8212; not only throughout America, but internationally as well. These groups\u00a0help women <em>through <\/em>their circumstances instead of attempting to artificially\u00a0<em>end <\/em>their circumstances through the killing of an innocent human being. Of course, taking a life is really no help to women at all, considering the <a href=\"\/news\/psychological-consequences-abortion\/\">long-term effects<\/a> experienced by many women who have had abortions. There&#8217;s also the degrading message sent\u00a0to women when they are told\u00a0they need to end the life of their own child to succeed.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" style=\"border: none; overflow: hidden;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/plugins\/video.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fliveaction%2Fvideos%2F10154883216668728%2F&amp;show_text=1&amp;width=560\" width=\"560\" height=\"464\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>America does not need to worry about what where women will go when Planned Parenthood&#8217;s federal funding is eliminated because\u00a0women can <a href=\"\/news\/will-poor-women-go-health-care-defund-planned-parenthood-everywhere\/\">find real care in countless\u00a0other places<\/a>, including <a href=\"\/news\/planned-parenthood-can-be-replaced-health-clinics-outnumber-them-20-to-1\/\">comprehensive health care clinics<\/a> which <a href=\"http:\/\/dailysignal.com\/2015\/08\/17\/planned-parenthood-loses-government-funding-heres-map-health-clinics-take-place\/\">outnumber Planned Parenthood 20 to 1<\/a>\u00a0and are welcoming to pregnant women.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/liveaction.org\/petition\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-160409\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-160409\" src=\"\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/DefundAd-400b-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"170\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Women who find themselves with unplanned pregnancies and face real fears of what this may mean for their lives need counsel, support, love, and encouragement, not a death sentence for their babies. The death of <a href=\"\/news\/40-quotes-from-medical-experts-that-prove-human-life-begins-at-conception\/\">a real, living\u00a0human being<\/a>\u00a0is not the solution. Who knows the damage we have already done to our country in ending the unique lives of <a href=\"\/news\/consequences-of-roe-v-wade-over-59-million-babies-lost-to-abortion\/\"><em>over 58 million of our children<\/em><\/a> since <em>Roe v. Wade<\/em>?
