Justin Trudeau is Canada\u2019s prime minister, and his abortion policy <\/span>is clear<\/span><\/a>: if a woman wants to have one, he\u2019ll defend her right to so do. But what if she <\/span>doesn\u2019t<\/span><\/i> want one? \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Roxanne Fernando was one of those women. The Manitoba resident\u00a0<\/span>was murdered<\/span><\/a> by her boyfriend for refusing to abort. <\/span>So was<\/span><\/a> British Columbian <\/span>Tasha Rosette. These tragedies weren\u2019t unique: in the US, women have been <\/span>shot<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>smothered<\/span><\/a>, and <\/span>burned<\/span><\/a> for the same reason, partly explaining <\/span>why homicide is <\/span>a leading cause<\/span><\/a> of death during pregnancy. <\/span><\/p>\n

It’s easy to see why some guys use <\/span>pressure<\/span><\/a> when demanding an abortion; to them,\u00a0child support isn’t what they want to contribute to.<\/span><\/p>\n
