Still more strange that these phrases are used to accuse others of trying to rip up our health care system.<\/p>\n<div class=\"video-container\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">GOP leadership is rushing to rip apart our health care system with no replacement plan. Even the CBO is pushing back\u2192<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/qdchRcgO42\">https:\/\/t.co\/qdchRcgO42<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/toM3qaYrd4\">pic.twitter.com\/toM3qaYrd4<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Planned Parenthood (@PPact) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/PPact\/status\/816348717624291332\">January 3, 2017<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/div>\n<p>If Planned Parenthood cares so much about health care and preventing chaos, why do they literally &#8216;rip apart&#8217; babies and throw families into further chaos? In fact, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.centerformedicalprogress.org\/2015\/09\/planned-parenthood-baby-parts-vendor-abr-pays-off-clinics-intact-fetuses-just-fell-out\/\">in an undercover video<\/a> released by the<a href=\"http:\/\/www.centerformedicalprogress.org\/\"> Center for Medical Progress<\/a>,\u00a0Perrin Larton, the Procurement Manager at ABR, while describing ABR\u2019s fetal tissue harvesting practice to a prospective buyer used the phrases &#8220;ripped up&#8221; and &#8220;ripped open&#8221; to describe a what happens during an abortion procedure.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut most of the time, [the fetus] is not intact,\u201d <a href=\"http:\/\/www.centerformedicalprogress.org\/2015\/09\/planned-parenthood-baby-parts-vendor-abr-pays-off-clinics-intact-fetuses-just-fell-out\/\">Larton notes in the video<\/a>, explaining that \u201cthe abdomen is always ripped open.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEverything will just get ripped up, you know,\u201d Larton continues. \u201cWhenever we have a smooth portion of liver, we think that\u2019s good, because most of the time, just the instruments they go in to pull and it\u2019s just whatever presents first.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Apparently, a few people also noted the apparent contradiction and took to Twitter to state the obvious. Levatino testified before the House Judiciary Committee as part of a 2015 investigation into Planned Parenthood. The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.christianpost.com\/news\/abortion-doctor-describes-process-of-ripping-apart-babies-bodies-to-congress-147231\/\">article in Christian Post<\/a>\u00a0reads (emphasis mine):<\/p>\n<div class=\"copy-paste-block\">\n<blockquote><p>In graphic detail, Levatino described the process of a Suction D&amp;E procedure, which involves using a sopher clamp to <em>rip limbs<\/em> off an aborted baby.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Once you have grasped something inside, squeeze on the clamp to set the jaws and pull hard \u2014 really hard. You feel something let go and out pops a fully formed leg about six inches long,&#8221; <a href=\"http:\/\/judiciary.house.gov\/_cache\/files\/bd6becc0-b4a0-4989-9c1e-12b9a432d49d\/levatino-testimony.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">reads Levatino&#8217;s submitted testimony<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Reach in again and grasp whatever you can. Set the jaw and pull really hard once again and out pops an arm about the same length. Reach in again and again with that clamp and tear out the spine, intestines, heart and lungs.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>It&#8217;s no accident the language that Planned Parenthood uses. Choosing to use the graphic terminology &#8216;rip apart&#8217; is a brazen play on words that describes in vivid terms what Planned Parenthood actually does to preborn baby humans.
