Part one of this series<\/a>\u00a0demonstrated Planned Parenthood’s failure to report child sexual abuse in several states, including Alabama, Arizona, and California. Part two expands this list to include Colorado, Connecticut, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Washington.<\/p>\n

Colorado:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 According to a 2014 lawsuit filed against\u00a0Rocky Mountain Planned Parenthood<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0and several of its\u00a0staffers, a 13-year-old child was taken to Planned Parenthood by her rapist, and it does not appear that a report was filed. The\u00a0document<\/a>\u00a0states, in part:<\/p>\n

On May 3, 2012, R.Z. was thirteen (13) years of age and had been the victim of sexual abuse by her step-father, Timothy David Smith (\u201cSmith\u201d) for approximately seven (7) years… Approximately three weeks prior to May 3, 2012, R.Z. took a pregnancy test at the direction of Smith, due to concerns that she might be pregnant. The test indicated that R.Z. was pregnant. A few days to a week before May 3, 2012, Smith pressured R.Z. to call Planned Parenthood to make an appointment for an abortion. The appointment for an abortion was scheduled for May 3, 2012 at Planned Parenthood\u2019s 7155 East 38th Avenue, Denver, Colorado 80207, location. On May 3, 2012, Smith transported R.Z. to Planned Parenthood\u2019s facility… for her appointment and accompanied her inside the facility. In connection with the abortion, Planned Parenthood required certain forms to be completed. Although R.Z. wrote her date of birth and signed some of the forms, the majority of the forms were completed by Smith, and R.Z. did not read them…<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The lawsuit goes on to state that no one at Planned Parenthood spoke to the victim about potential sexual abuse nor verified her relationship with Smith. In fact, they did not talk with the victim at all regarding the circumstances of her pregnancy. R.Z. reported the abuse to her\u00a0mother months later while Smith was out of the home.<\/p>\n

A\u00a0report<\/a>\u00a0from Alliance Defending Freedom revealed [emphasis added]:<\/p>\n

One Rocky Mountain Planned Parenthood employee admitted in a deposition in the civil suit that \u201cbeing 13 and pregnant alone is not a red flag\u201d for the organization.<\/strong> According to court documents, no Planned Parenthood employee inquired into the nature of the girl\u2019s relationship with the predator or about potential abuse even though she is a minor. The step-father has since been convicted and incarcerated for his crimes.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Connecticut:<\/strong><\/p>\n

In 2007, police issued an\u00a0arrest affidavit<\/a>\u00a0for\u00a0Adam Gault<\/strong>\u00a0in the kidnapping and sexual assault of a young teen girl whom he held captive in his home. It revealed that the 15-year-old victim had recently had an abortion at Planned Parenthood in West Hartford. Authorities said<\/a> DNA tests on the girl’s aborted baby showed that Gault had\u00a0gotten her pregnant; however, he was not turned in by the abortion chain.<\/p>\n
