Many Americans are unaware that over half a billion in taxpayer dollars \u2013 their hard-earned money \u2013 is given annually<\/a> to one of the most corrupt organizations in the United States.\u00a0Planned Parenthood is the happy recipient of these funds that translate into over $1.4 million every single day. Every single day, Planned Parenthood also commits\u00a0887 abortions<\/a>, which averages out to one abortion every minute-and-a-half.<\/p>\n

But, if the fact that 37 unique, new, human lives are being taken every hour doesn\u2019t force us to question why we are forking over taxpayer dollars to Planned Parenthood, there is plenty else that should.<\/p>\n

On December 13, Senate Judiciary Chairman Charles Grassley referred<\/a> Planned Parenthood Federation of America and four Planned Parenthood affiliates, including the largest one in the country and several that commit late-term abortions<\/a>, to the FBI and the DOJ for \u201cinvestigation and possible prosecution.\u201d An extensive inquiry by the Judiciary Committee found that Planned Parenthood\u2019s own documents and admissions revealed possible criminal conspiracy<\/a>\u00a0and other violations of the law in the sale of baby body parts. The report concluded<\/a>: \u201cPPFA not only turned a blind eye to the affiliates\u2019 violations of its fetal tissue policy, but also altered its own oversight procedures enabling those affiliates\u2019 practices to continue unimpeded.\u201d<\/p>\n

Earlier in December, Congress\u2019 Select Investigative Panel on Infant Lives referred<\/a> Planned Parenthood of the Gulf Coast (another of the organization\u2019s largest affiliates) for criminal investigation, asserting that evidence points to PPGC\u2019s breaking state and federal laws in a baby body part sales scheme.<\/p>\n

These recommendations for prosecution only touch the tip of the iceberg.<\/p>\n

Planned Parenthood also has an<\/a> \u201cextensive history of ignoring child sexual abuse and enabling their predators,\u201d documented in seven states.\u00a0If that\u2019s not enough, for years, undercover investigative cameras have been discovering illegal activity, dangerous practices, dismissal of women, and a complete disregard for basic humanity at Planned Parenthood clinics around the nation.<\/p>\n

Not only are there the tapes<\/a> showing actual arms, hands, feet, and legs of a just-aborted baby being picked apart at a Planned Parenthood in Denver, Colorado; there are also the tapes showing Planned Parenthood staff flat-out lying<\/a> to women about other patients being transported to the hospital after botched abortions\u00a0and giving medical misinformation about fetal development. When a woman in Appleton, Wisconsin, directly asked a Planned Parenthood counselor if her 10-week-old baby had a heartbeat, the counselor replied with completely inaccurate informatio<\/a>n<\/a>, telling her that the heartbeat begins at \u201cabout seventeen or eighteen weeks.\u201d<\/p>\n
