Along with Planned Parenthood, Advanced Bioscience Resources (ABR), Stem Express, and Novogenix are the main named players. It is also revealed\u00a0that a number of undisclosed, independent abortion facilities allowed the body parts of aborted babies to be harvested and sold.<\/p>\n<p>Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) &#8212; who the report names as potentially guilty of <a href=\"\/news\/did-planned-parenthood-commit-criminal-conspiracy-an-in-depth-look\/\">federal criminal conspiracy<\/a> &#8212; takes great pains to explain to the committee that the majority of its affiliates&#8217; income never came from charging money for\u00a0aborted baby body parts. And yet, the report describes\u00a0how and why such a\u00a0claim\u00a0is irrelevant. What matters, the report asserts, is that Planned Parenthood did indeed bring in money from companies in exchange for the bodies of aborted babies, and it cannot be fully accounted for in costs.<\/p>\n<p>Paperwork submitted by PPFA\u00a0specifically admits that from January to July of 2015, four PP affiliates charged $55,040 for 1,132 aborted babies. (See <a href=\"http:\/\/www.grassley.senate.gov\/sites\/default\/files\/judiciary\/upload\/22920%20-%20FTR.pdf\">pages 298-304 of the report<\/a>.) Planned Parenthood Los Angeles, Planned Parenthood Mar Monte (the largest PP affiliate in the nation), Planned Parenthood Northern California, and Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest are the four affiliates who participated.<\/p>\n<p>PPLA and PPPS are two of the PP affiliates that commit abortions on viable babies as old as 24 weeks, as <a href=\"\/news\/fact-check-planned-parenthood-actually-does-perform-abortions-after-viability\/\">this Live Action News report<\/a> details. With modern medical care, babies at 24 weeks can survive at a 65 percent rate.<\/p>\n<p>Baby Toby, highlighted here in a Live Action video, was born at 24 weeks:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" style=\"border: none; overflow: hidden;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/plugins\/video.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fliveaction%2Fvideos%2F10154790066883728%2F&amp;show_text=0&amp;width=400\" width=\"400\" height=\"400\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Of course, Planned Parenthood says that the $55,040 they received for these 1,132 babies\u00a0&#8212; which, according to federal law, must be a reimbursement for an actual expense &#8212; is accounted for, and PPFA sent several spreadsheets to the committee, detailing the costs its affiliates allegedly\u00a0incurred. However, the committee points out that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.law.cornell.edu\/uscode\/text\/42\/289g-2\">federal law<\/a> is very specific on what costs may be reimbursed: &#8220;reasonable payments associated with the transportation, implantation, processing, preservation, quality control, or storage of human fetal tissue.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Conveniently, Planned Parenthood does not stick to this clear list. These 1,032 babies were carved, chopped up, sliced, parted out, and FedExed. As <a href=\"http:\/\/www.grassley.senate.gov\/sites\/default\/files\/judiciary\/upload\/22920%20-%20FTR.pdf\">the exhibits in the report detail<\/a>, their eyes were popped out of their heads and sold separately. Their brains and livers were mailed away.
