On\u00a0her TBS show\u00a0<em>Full Frontal<\/em>, Bee <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mediaite.com\/online\/sam-bee-breaks-down-ohios-new-abortion-bills-and-the-homophobic-crank-activist-repsonsible\/\">took aim<\/a> at current and proposed abortion laws in Ohio, particularly the <a href=\"\/news\/oh-governor-passes-20-week-abortion-ban-rejects-heartbeat-bill\/\">vetoed attempt<\/a> to protect preborn babies as soon as their heartbeats are detectable. As usual, all she proved is that it\u2019s easy to make the misinformed laugh.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/PUUXiAY0Ki8\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Six weeks? What the hell, Ohio? At six weeks, most women won\u2019t even know they\u2019re pregnant, especially now, since every time we wake up and realize Trump is president, we all have morning sickness. Women can miss a period from an extra-hard SoulCycle regimen [\u2026]<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Women don\u2019t know they\u2019re pregnant at six weeks; therefore the living human child isn\u2019t, in fact, a living human child? Try again.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Look, you wanna know how extreme this bill is? [Plays news video about Ohio Republican Governor John Kasich expressing ambivalence] Even John Kasich thinks it sounds unconstitutional, and this is a man who puts his signature (and countless condiment stains) on every anti-abortion bill that lands on his desk.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>[<em>Editor&#8217;s Note:\u00a0Kasich did indeed sign the 20-week ban on abortion, but he doesn&#8217;t sign every piece of pro-life legislation.<\/em> <em>His veto of the heartbeat bill was controversial among pro-lifers, but Kasich\u00a0chose to side with Ohio Right to Life who\u00a0reasoned that since a similar law\u00a0had already been ruled unconstitutional in North Dakota and Arkansas, it could be a waste of taxpayer dollars\u00a0to fight, only to be found on the losing end in federal court<\/em>.]<\/p>\n<p>Bee&#8217;s\u00a0propaganda is particularly dependent on her\u00a0audience not knowing anything about Kasich &#8212; like, for instance, his <a href=\"\/news\/kasich-abortion-important-focus-much\/\">contention<\/a> that Republicans \u201cfocus too much\u201d on abortion, his <a href=\"\/news\/john-kasich-roe-v-wade-live-law-land\/\">refusal to say<\/a> <em>Roe v. Wade<\/em> should be overturned, his <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dispatch.com\/content\/stories\/local\/2015\/08\/17\/kasich-against-abortion-with-exceptions.html\">support<\/a> for rape and incest exceptions, and his <a href=\"\/news\/john-kasichs-hypocritical-case-shutdown-planned-parenthood\/\">opposition<\/a> to using every tool at Congress\u2019s disposal to defund Planned Parenthood. On the heartbeat bill, So contrary to Bee\u2019s \u201ceven Kasich!\u201d misdirect, he didn\u2019t veto it because it was that extreme, but because he\u00a0has a mixed record on abortion.<\/p>\n<p>Bee continues, ranting about how &#8220;illegal&#8221; the heartbeat law would be, calling it &#8220;about as illegal as crack.&#8221;\u00a0I don\u2019t know what\u2019s sadder: that Bee thinks \u201cillegal because a <a href=\"\/news\/justice-scalias-refresher-on-constitutional-originalism\/\">court case so bankrupt its own scholars can&#8217;t defend it<\/a> said so\u201d is of equal weight to \u201cillegal due to duly-enacted statutes\u201d; that she thinks legislation everybody knew about all along was somehow \u201chidden\u201d; or that she\u2019s invoking child abuse in defense of an industry that <a href=\"\/news\/10-rapists-planned-parenthood-helped\/\">has aided child abusers enormously<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div class=\"ArticleAd1\"><!-- \/1011927\/LAN_300_by_250_top_article --><\/p>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1473179053567-0\" class=\"ArticleAd1a\"><script>\ngoogletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-1473179053567-0'); });\n<\/script><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<blockquote><p>Look, why are they so hung up on the heartbeat milestone? Maybe it\u2019s because it\u2019s the only thing that\u2019s remotely person-like about a six-week-old embryo. And pro-lifers are geniuses at making a lentil-sized cluster of developing cells sound like a fully baked pageant baby.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Like many of her ilk, Bee <a href=\"http:\/\/www.alternet.org\/video\/hilarious-video-daily-shows-samantha-bee-tackles-epidemic-anti-vaxxer-idiocy\">styles<\/a> herself something of a champion for \u201cscience\u201d against \u201cdeniers.\u201d Yet here we see her lazily dismissing the <a href=\"\/news\/40-quotes-from-medical-experts-that-prove-human-life-begins-at-conception\/\">clear<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"\/news\/the-science-of-abortion-when-does-life-begin\/\">objective<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.abort73.com\/abortion\/medical_testimony\/\">undeniable<\/a>\u00a0scientific consensus that embryos <em>are<\/em> people\/babies, meaning that highlighting details like heartbeats is simply meant to call attention to a reality the likes of Bee strenuously avoid talking about. In fact, she emphasizes her claim that there\u2019s nothing \u201cremotely person-like about a six-week-old embryo\u201d with the following graphic:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/news\/bee-deceives-extreme-ohio-abortion-laws\/fetus-screenshot-sam-bee\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-158492\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-158492 aligncenter\" src=\"\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/Fetus-Screenshot-Sam-Bee-300x169.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" srcset=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/Fetus-Screenshot-Sam-Bee-300x169.png 300w, https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/Fetus-Screenshot-Sam-Bee-500x281.png 500w, https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/Fetus-Screenshot-Sam-Bee.png 648w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/news\/what-if-we-applied-pro-aborts-anti-intellectualism-to-other-scientific-questions\/\">Defining humanity by outward appearance<\/a> rather than by genetic composition and biological structure: not very scientific of you, Samantha\u2026<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>I\u2019m surprised they haven\u2019t passed a law forcing women to put their sonogram through the Pet Me Snapchat filter before they decide whether to keep it. Which would be better than the form a woman will actually have to sign acknowledging that the quote, unborn human individual she\u2019s carrying has a heartbeat. This puts doctors in the position of saying, I\u2019m sorry, if you don\u2019t terminate your wanted pregnancy, you could die. Also, sign this form saying you heard its precious heartbeat, you murderer.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Of course, we can&#8217;t count on Samantha Bee to give\u00a0the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ehd.org\">full\u00a0scientific info<\/a> anyway. Here is a real video\u00a0of\u00a0a baby at six-and-a-half weeks, with her heart beating:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ehd.org\/widget2.php?movie=1&amp;size=400&amp;bg=1&amp;nobuy=1&amp;title=1\" width=\"400\" height=\"484\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ehd.org\/widget2.php?movie=1&amp;size=400&amp;bg=1&amp;nobuy=1&amp;title=1\">Play Movie<\/a><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Abortion advocates refusing to really discuss the implications of wanting to destroy something that has a heartbeat is nothing new, but it\u2019s disturbing to see it from someone who mentions the fetal heartbeat as much as Bee does in this segment. How would the pro-abortion movement ever get by without cognitive dissonance?<\/p>\n<p>After trying to further distract her audience from thinking too deeply about the issue with some cracks about the Duggar family abuse scandal (as if <a href=\"http:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/news\/nation\/2016\/10\/29\/rise-and-fall-anthony-weiner\/92951622\/\">counter-examples<\/a> of even <a href=\"http:\/\/downtrend.com\/71superb\/while-praising-killer-ted-kennedy-obama-laments-the-roll-of-money-in-politics-then-goes-to-a-dnc-fundraiser\">more prominent<\/a> pro-aborts <a href=\"http:\/\/hotair.com\/archives\/2016\/08\/16\/wonkette-sure-sounds-like-bill-clinton-is-a-rapist-but-hey-hes-still-a-good-guy\/\">doing as bad or worse<\/a> couldn\u2019t be found to score cheap points against their side), Bee singled out GOP Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell as the \u201cguy to thank\u201d and the\u00a0\u201cman who always puts party before country\u201d by blocking Barack Obama\u2019s nomination of Merrick Garland to the Supreme Court.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYeah, why should someone who won the popular vote twice pick a justice?\u201d Bee sneers. Oh, I don\u2019t know\u2026maybe because that same electorate <a href=\"\/news\/abortion-lobby-in-deep-denial-over-last-weeks-electoral-thrashing\/\">took the Senate that confirms justices <em>away from<\/em> that president<\/a> two years <em>after<\/em> that second popular vote?<\/p>\n<p>Not that little details like that matter to the Cult of Abortion\u2019s high priests and priestesses, because they\u2019re not trying to win an argument; they\u2019re trying to con audiences into thinking there <em>is no<\/em> argument.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Demagogic pro-abortion &#8216;comedian&#8217; Samantha Bee is at it again.
