margin-bottom: 0px;\" class=\"sharethis-inline-share-buttons\" ><\/div><p><strong>October 19, 2015<\/strong> &#8212;\u00a0&#8220;I applaud the state of Texas for no longer allowing Planned Parenthood to receive Medicaid money.\u00a0 Texas\u2019s inspector general concluded what Live Action\u2019s investigations have shown for years: \u00a0that Planned Parenthood has repeatedly neglected the minimum standards of care it is supposed to provide to clients; that it is not operating in a \u2018safe, legal, and ethical manner;\u2019 and that it is willing to put profits ahead of its clients.\u00a0 Texas authorities have also found evidence that Planned Parenthood is defrauding taxpayers through a pattern of illegal billing practices, including billing for services that are medically unnecessary.<\/p>\n<div class=\"gmail_default\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"gmail_default\">&#8220;Despite Planned Parenthood\u2019s tens of millions of dollars in advertising to get women through its doors and its claims that women won\u2019t have other places to go if its taxpayer funding is cut, the reality is that low-income women in Texas \u2013 and all throughout America \u2013 have so many more choices than going to an unsafe and corrupt Planned Parenthood facility.\u00a0 In fact, there are over 13,000 federally qualified health care clinics that provide comprehensive and better care to women \u2013 on average, 20 clinics for every one Planned Parenthood facility.<\/div>\n<div class=\"gmail_default\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"gmail_default\">\u201cPlanned Parenthood\u2019s recent baby parts trafficking is the latest abuse in a long line of abuses, as states are beginning to discover.\u00a0 I encourage other states to show Planned Parenthood the same scrutiny that Texas has, because we know that these issues are certainly not limited to one region of the country.\u201d<\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"># # #<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>October 19, 2015 &#8212;\u00a0&#8220;I applaud the state of Texas for no longer allowing Planned Parenthood to receive Medicaid money.\u00a0 Texas\u2019s inspector general concluded what Live Action\u2019s investigations have shown for years: \u00a0that Planned Parenthood has repeatedly neglected the minimum standards of care it is supposed to provide to clients;
