Though she was spirited away from the public eye when the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rtl.org\/prolife_issues\/pp-videos\/index.html\">Center for Medical Progress video investigation<\/a>\u00a0broke, she remains busy at work.<\/p>\n<p>Nucatola\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/journals.lww.com\/greenjournal\/Abstract\/2016\/11000\/Intra_fetal_Compared_With_Intra_amniotic_Digoxin.19.aspx\">co-authored a study<\/a>\u00a0in the current October 2016 issue of\u00a0<i>Obstetrics &amp; Gynecology<\/i>. Her study examined the most efficient way to kill unborn children in a late-term abortion.<\/p>\n<p>When you watch the Center for Medical Progress videos, you\u2019ll see Nucatola and others often discussing \u201cdidge,\u201d or \u201cdidging;\u201d the practice of using the drug Digoxin before an abortion. While invented to treat heart conditions, in massive doses Digoxin causes a heart attack. Those looking to buy and sell the body parts of aborted babies did not want a \u201cdidged\u201d baby; they needed the baby\u2019s organs as fresh and pure as possible for experimentation or\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cnsnews.com\/news\/article\/terence-p-jeffrey\/us-government-made-humanized-mice-tissue-babies-17-22-weeks\">implantation into rodents<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div class=\"ArticleAd1\">\n<p><!-- \/1011927\/LAN_300_by_250_top_article --><\/p>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1473179053567-0\" class=\"ArticleAd1a\"><script>\ngoogletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-1473179053567-0'); });\n<\/script><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"attachment_12370\" style=\"width: 244px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-12370\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\" wp-image-12370\" src=\"\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/02\/20-weeks-human-fetus-681x1024.jpg\" alt=\"Preborn child at 20 weeks gestation, or 22 weeks LMP - a new standard of viability, where the child can live outside the womb.\" width=\"234\" height=\"352\" srcset=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/02\/20-weeks-human-fetus-681x1024.jpg 681w, https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/02\/20-weeks-human-fetus-199x300.jpg 199w, https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/02\/20-weeks-human-fetus.jpg 800w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 234px) 100vw, 234px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-12370\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Preborn child at 20 weeks gestation, or 22 weeks LMP &#8211; a new standard of viability, where the child can live outside the womb.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Nucatola&#8217;s study compared the results from injecting Digoxin directly into the baby to just injecting it into the amniotic fluid. The terms in the study are \u201cintra-fetal\u201d injections to achieve \u201cfetal asystole\u201d before performing a \u201cdilation and evacuation.\u201d What do those terms mean? A needle is inserted through the woman\u2019s belly and into the baby\u2019s body and the lethal drug is administered to give the baby a fatal heart attack. The baby is then examined to determine if the desired outcome was completed. A \u201cfailure,&#8221; as the study calls it, is the baby surviving the lethal dose, only to die later through bleeding to death or shock as her arms and legs are literally torn off of her body in a dismemberment abortion.<\/p>\n<p>Nucatola\u2019s study coolly concluded that injecting the drug directly into the baby led to fewer \u201cfailures\u201d than injecting it into the amniotic fluid for the baby to inhale. The \u201csample size\u201d of the study was 270 babies between 20 and 24 weeks of pregnancy.<\/p>\n<p>Why give a baby a massive heart attack before dismembering her? One of the worst outcomes for an abortionist is a born-alive baby. Abortionists are\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.congress.gov\/bill\/107th-congress\/house-bill\/2175\/text\">legally required<\/a>\u00a0to treat babies who survive abortions the same as any other baby, but because of lax abortion clinic regulations they often are not equipped to provide proper life-saving care. The goal of the abortion is after all not to end the pregnancy, but to end the baby\u2019s life, even if it\u2019s past the point of viability.<\/p>\n<p>The way this study is written you would never know it is talking about giving viable babies fatal heart attacks. A medical journal dedicated to the arts of welcoming life into this world should be no place to calmly discuss the most efficient ways of disposing of \u201cunwanted\u201d lives.<\/p>\n<p>Deborah Nucatola is not alone. When the topic of late-term abortion comes up in a political context, euphemisms and medical terms are deployed by politicians to distract people from the reality of abortion. In a few days we&#8217;ll all be voting on a candidate, Hillary Clinton, who firmly supports\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/rlmblog.blogspot.com\/2016\/10\/clinton-lies-about-support-for-abortion.html\">late-term abortions<\/a>, even during the process of birth.\u00a0<em>[Editor&#8217;s Note: This story was originally published prior to the general election.]<\/em><\/p>\n<div class=\"ArticleAd2\">\n<p><!-- \/1011927\/LAN_300_BY_250_mid_article --><\/p>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1473179101244-0\" class=\"ArticleAd2a\"><script>\ngoogletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-1473179101244-0'); });\n<\/script><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Prolifers can cut through the fog and hold the abortion industry and their political allies accountable simply by asking them to plainly describe what they support.
