In the most recent 40 Days for Life campaign<\/a>, pro-life volunteers across 36 countries helped save 676 lives from abortion.<\/p>\n

From Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to Adelaide, Australia, people gathered in unity for prayer and fasting as they helped spread the message of life-giving hope.<\/p>\n

\u201cSometimes, when we\u2019re praying on the sidewalk in front of Planned Parenthood, we might wonder whether we\u2019re having any effect,\u201d one of the Pittsburgh 40 Days for Life volunteers said. \u201cWell\u2026 we had a save today.\u201d<\/p>\n

Expecting mothers are looking for options other than abortion, and indeed, 40 Days for Life has an effect on women looking for help.<\/p>\n

A young lady seeking an abortion at the Pittsburgh Planned Parenthood was changed forever when she came out holding an ultrasound image of her baby. With three volunteers praying outside the facility, the mother walked up to them and shared why she changed her mind on abortion.<\/p>\n

\u201cI went in for an abortion today, but decided not to. The people in there are not of God.\u201d<\/p>\n

If there was any doubt of the hearts and minds changed during this 40-day campaign, this mother\u2019s story puts that to rest.<\/p>\n

Not only were women changed by the love these volunteers had for them and their babies, but people passing by the vigil were also changed.<\/p>\n

\u201cBecause of you being here, I learned the truth,\u201d one passerby told the volunteers.<\/p>\n

In Adelaide, Australia, a couple\u2019s life was forever changed when they decided to not have an abortion. They went into the abortion facility, but left after about 15 minutes. With volunteers praying outside, the couple just stood by, not saying a word. Soon after, they drove off. A woman working with the same couple came up to the volunteers and shared with them the good news that the couple decided to not go through with the abortion.<\/p>\n

In Pensacola, Florida, volunteers gave truth to the reality of abortion when a young lady, her mother and grandparents drove to the abortion facility there. The young woman entered the facility by herself; her mother and grandmother left, while her grandfather waited outside.<\/p>\n

Out of curiosity, the grandfather asked why people were praying outside the building. When told why the volunteers were there, he was shocked. He was aware that his granddaughter was supposed to have a medical procedure, but knew nothing about this medical procedure possibly being an abortion.<\/p>\n

The young woman was already a mother of three, so it was difficult for the grandfather to understand why his granddaughter would go through with such a thing.<\/p>\n

One of the volunteers gave the grandfather some helpful resources, in which he then gave to his granddaughter. But with a heated conversation, she headed back inside to the abortion facility.<\/p>\n

Soon after, the young woman\u2019s mother came back, talked with the grandfather and told the volunteers to keep praying.<\/p>\n

As the young lady exited the building a second time, the family drove off with the mother calling out, \u201cThank you.\u201d<\/p>\n
