Her recent spoken word album, <a href=\"http:\/\/bernadinebarber.com\/albumlisten\/\"><em>My Generation<\/em><\/a>, features a poem about the impact of abortion on women.<\/p>\n<div class=\"video-container\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1000\" height=\"563\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/mu0E-wQ4Enc?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>In 2015, Bernadine told <a href=\"https:\/\/www.texasrighttolife.com\/spoken-word-poem-addressed-to-mothers-who-chose-abortion-i-m-sorry-you-felt-like-you-didn-t-have-any-other-option\/\">Texas Right to Life<\/a> that she became devastated by abortion when she learned &#8220;what really happened to pre-born babies during the different abortion procedures.&#8221;\u00a0Bernadine isn&#8217;t alone. Live Action&#8217;s recent project <a href=\"http:\/\/abortionprocedures.com\/\">exposing abortion procedures<\/a>, for example, has proven a powerful tool in <a href=\"\/news\/watch-abortion-supporters-change-their-mind-about-abortion-in-minutes\/\">changing hearts and minds<\/a> that had been apathetic toward abortion.<\/p>\n<p>Bernadine shared with Live Action News that she uses her gift of spoken word poetry for the pro-life cause because she believes it is a way to communicate with the Millennial generation. &#8220;I use poetry to speak up about the issues of life and abortion because I believe the tide is changing in my generation,&#8221; she said. &#8220;Millennials are becoming more and more aware of the facts and therefore, more and more pro-life. We are learning the truth and then passing it on to bring about change.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>And Bernadine is right: Millennials are the most pro-life generation since <em>Roe v. Wade<\/em>, and we are changing the abortion landscape. Millennials are the first American generation born and raised in a nation where we were <em>all\u00a0<\/em>at risk of being aborted. And we keenly feel the absence of scores of our peers who are not here today because they were aborted &#8212; peers who would have been our classmates, friends, spouses, and colleagues.<\/p>\n<p>Millennial pro-lifers have invested everything into ending abortion in their lifetime. Millennials like Live Action founder <a href=\"http:\/\/liveaction.org\/lilarose\/\">Lila Rose<\/a> lead the pro-life movement. Led by Millennials, pro-life campus groups now <a href=\"\/news\/pro-life-student-groups-outnumber-planned-parenthood-student-groups\/\">outnumber<\/a> pro-abortion campus groups by 4-to-1. Pro-life Millennials are writing the books, founding the new pro-life initiatives, and unabashedly engaging in the abortion conversation.<\/p>\n<p>Bernadine&#8217;s spoken word poetry attests to the fact that\u00a0<em>every young person\u00a0<\/em>has something to offer the pro-life movement.
