The pain some\u00a0women feel after their abortions can last for years. Pro-life author\u00a0JD Sharp told the following story:<\/p>\n

Our neighbor was 83 years old, and had been a widow for about 10 years. She would come over and visit my wife, who was a stay-at-home mom, two or three times a week. She enjoyed watching our two\u00a0children and interacting with them\u2026<\/p>\n

Looking back, I remember a particular story our neighbor shared with my wife. Our neighbor wept inconsolably while telling my wife of her abortion. Long before the Supreme Court\u2019s decision in Roe vs. Wade<\/em>, she had had an [illegal] abortion during the Great Depression. She had 2 other children at the time, but just didn\u2019t feel that they could afford to feed another child when times were so hard. At 83 years of age this woman was still torn inside over the baby she never raised.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
