Actress Olivia Wilde recently sent shockwaves across the country when she appeared in a video, pregnant, saying she would be voting for abortion in November because she’s “literally about to have a baby.” According to Wilde, abortion is a “basic human right.” People were predictably shocked and disgusted, because the idea of a pregnant woman using her preborn baby as an excuse to shill for abortion is abhorrent. It didn’t take long for someone to come up with an incredible response.<\/p>\n

Ben Shapiro took on Wilde’s comments for a segment on “The Ben Shapiro Show,” where he utterly destroyed every pro-abortion argument that the abortion lobby likes to use.<\/p>\n

Shapiro didn’t shy away from slamming Wilde.<\/p>\n

“This is about as perverse a notion as I could possibly imagine,” he said. “That as you’re about to have your child, you’re thinking, ‘boy, wouldn’t it be great if I could still kill this thing?'”<\/p>\n

Shapiro\u00a0then warned viewers about what they were about to see: “This is going to be mildly graphic,” he said, “but it\u2019s important, because I\u2019m sick of euphemisms. It\u2019s not aborting a fetus; it\u2019s not getting rid of a ball of tissue.”<\/p>\n

Wilde and abortion supporters\u00a0want women to be allowed to have an abortion anytime they want, even moments before\u00a0birth. They do so in the name of “human rights,” which Shapiro completely dismisses, saying no one has the “right” to kill another human being. He\u00a0used an awful picture of one of abortionist Kermit Gosnell’s victims to drive the\u00a0point home.<\/p>\n

As Shapiro pointed out, these are fully-formed children. Abortion kills\u00a0these children\u00a0out of\u00a0convenience.<\/p>\n

“The idea that you get to murder a kid… no one has a \u2018right to choose\u2019 this,” he said. “No one. No one. No one has a \u2018right\u2019 to choose this\u00a0\u2014 that\u2019s a baby \u2014\u00a0you don\u2019t get to kill it just because it\u2019s convenient to you. You don\u2019t have a right to say, \u2018It\u2019s my decision to decide where and when and how to have the baby.\u2019 That\u2019s an individual human being, and if that baby were outside the womb and you stuck a knife through its chest, you\u2019d be charged with first-degree murder. You kill it in the womb, and we call it a \u2018human right.\u2019 That\u2019s not a \u2018human right,\u2019 because that\u2019s a human and that human doesn\u2019t have any rights because you just decided its rights are less important than your right to your own convenience.”<\/p>\n

“Despicable,” Shapiro added. “Despicable.” He then showed a graph that outlines the development of a preborn child:<\/p>\n

Some abortion advocates\u00a0believe that you should be able to abort a baby right up to birth \u2014\u00a0and they do so in the name of “choice,” as if choosing to dehumanize, subjugate, and kill people is a “human right” that anyone can choose.<\/p>\n

“This is not a matter of a ‘women’s right to choose,'” Shapiro said. “A slave owner didn’t get to ‘choose’ to hold slaves; Nazis didn’t get to ‘decide’ which Jews got to live. And don’t give me the, ‘it’s legal, therefore it’s okay.’ Lots of things were legal; lots of things in human history have been legal that were totally evil.”<\/p>\n

Of course, the abortion lobby doesn’t want people seeing graphic pictures like the baby girl above. It’s traumatizing, and rightly so \u2014\u00a0seeing victims of any crime is horrifying to any person with a conscience. But according to Shapiro, that response should tell abortion advocates something.<\/p>\n

“That’s probably how people treated pictures of slavery back in 1850s; that’s probably how people treated pictures of the Holocaust back in the 1940s,” he said.”The bottom line is, if it’s that ugly, maybe you should do something about it instead of whining about how ugly it is.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
