At the Interfaith Alliance of Colorado, they celebrate<\/a> birth. Specifically, \u201cthat moment when the nurse gently places the newborn baby into the arms of the exhausted but exuberant parent.\u201d According to them, it\u2019s among \u201cthe most joyful.\u201d How about when a baby gets injected with a chemical to cause cardiac arrest and death?<\/p>\n

Oh yeah, they\u2019re fine with that moment too.<\/p>\n

You’d think people who tout \u201cthe inalienable right to be treated equally\u201d would have a problem with this. Well, they don\u2019t.\u00a0Rev. Amanda Henderson<\/a>\u00a0is the Interfaith Alliance of Colorado’s executive director, and when she was shown ultrasound images of a state representative\u2019s twenty eight week-old daughter,\u00a0Henderson described<\/a>\u00a0the child as \u201cpotential life.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rev. Henderson didn\u2019t explain how a potential life could have a heartbeat, something that starts\u00a0less than a month<\/a>\u00a0following conception. Neither did she explain how a potential life could feel pain, and there’s evidence a twenty week-old pre-born child\u00a0does<\/a>. Also unexplained was how potential lives could survive delivery; after all, children are\u00a0considered viable<\/a>\u00a0at 24\u00a0weeks. Little Trevor Frolek<\/a> (pictured right) was born before 24 weeks.<\/p>\n

And\u00a0yet, some abortions take place well after this point in gestation. Third trimester abortions typically use a technique<\/a> known as induction.
