Their reason for endorsing her was obvious: Hillary Clinton has vowed to protect abortion. The Democratic Party likewise has the support of Planned Parenthood, which is not surprising, considering they have recently enacted <a href=\"\/news\/democratic-partys-2016-draft-platform-goes-further-on-abortion\/\">the most pro-abortion party platform ever<\/a>, which includes forcing\u00a0taxpayers to pay for abortion. So it&#8217;s not shocking that Cecile Richards is stumping hard this election season &#8212; she stands to make a lot of extra money, after all.<\/p>\n<p>But her latest tweet about the election is just cringeworthy.<\/p>\n<div class=\"ArticleAd1\">\n<p><!-- \/1011927\/LAN_300_by_250_top_article --><\/p>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1473179053567-0\" class=\"ArticleAd1a\"><script>\ngoogletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-1473179053567-0'); });\n<\/script><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Yesterday was National Voter Registration Day, and Richards celebrated by urging people to vote&#8230; like your life depends on it. No, really:<\/p>\n<div class=\"video-container\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">It&#39;s <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/NationalVoterRegistrationDay?src=hash\">#NationalVoterRegistrationDay<\/a> &#8211; so get registered, and vote like your life depends on it! <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/Cj7i152lHj\">https:\/\/t.co\/Cj7i152lHj<\/a> ???<\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Cecile Richards (@CecileRichards) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CecileRichards\/status\/780768322564526080\">September 27, 2016<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/div>\n<p>Planned Parenthood has a tendency to release cringeworthy tweets (remember <a href=\"\/news\/planned-parenthood-tweets-a-picture-of-baby-carriages-for-its-98th-birthday\/\">the baby carriages<\/a> for their 98th birthday?), but this was beyond the pale. Because people&#8217;s lives <em>do<\/em> depend on this election&#8230; just not lives Richards cares at all about.<\/p>\n<p>Planned Parenthood performs an abortion\u00a0<a href=\"\/news\/new-video-debunks-planned-parenthoods-3-percent-abortion-myth\/\"><em>every 97 seconds<\/em><\/a>, and\u00a0receives half a billion taxpayer dollars annually:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/qtgqxvaV-8U\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>And every one of these abortions takes a human life. That is <a href=\"\/news\/factchecking-the-the-claim-that-fetuses-arent-people\/\">a scientific fact<\/a>. At just 21 days after conception, the preborn baby&#8217;s heart is beating. Brain waves can be measured just a few short weeks later. The baby has their own unique fingerprints by 10 weeks, and by the end of the first trimester, all of the baby&#8217;s major organs have been formed.<\/p>\n<p>So Cecile Richards is right.
