Over the years, and more recently, Live Action debunked this myth and educated the public on the truth. The abortion giant <a href=\"https:\/\/www.plannedparenthood.org\/files\/2114\/5089\/0863\/2014-2015_PPFA_Annual_Report_.pdf\">performed 323,999 abortions<\/a> in 2014-2015. Of their 9,455,582 total procedures, that is 3 percent. Planned Parenthood counts every issuance of birth control and\u00a0condoms (which may be handed to women as they leave from their abortion) as individual services. These services are not counted to the abortion percentage, but are connected to the abortion visit.<\/p>\n<p>Of the 2.5 million clients Planned Parenthood saw, if 323,999 of them had an abortion, <a href=\"\/news\/the-truth-behind-planned-parenthoods-abortion-marketshare\/\">that means 1 in 8 patients<\/a> had an abortion. That&#8217;s not 3 percent. Further, <a href=\"\/news\/new-video-debunks-planned-parenthoods-3-percent-abortion-myth\/\">over 90 percent of women<\/a> who are pregnant and go to a Planned Parenthood have an abortion, fulfilling the organization&#8217;s abortion business model.<\/p>\n<p>Why isn&#8217;t Planned Parenthood honest about their numbers? It&#8217;s not that they&#8217;re against abortion; far from it. Abortion is health care and a constitutional right, according to the abortion giant. The organization also claims that <em>they&#8217;re<\/em> the advocate for women and women&#8217;s health. Planned Parenthood <a href=\"\/news\/abortion-industry-not-public-making-u-s-more-extreme-on-abortion\/\">has yet to meet<\/a> an abortion regulation or restriction they don&#8217;t like,\u00a0<a href=\"\/news\/extreme-planned-parenthood-opposes-virtually-all-abortion-restrictions\/\">virtually opposing any and all of them<\/a> while painting their opponents as extremists.<\/p>\n<p>As mentioned\u00a0in the\u00a0video, however, Planned Parenthood has\u00a0quite the extreme political stance. A Congressional investigation last September <a href=\"http:\/\/redalertpolitics.com\/2015\/10\/04\/house-oversight-committee-publishes-take-away-planned-parenthood-hearing\/\">found that<\/a> Planned Parenthood&#8217;s political arm was also benefiting from taxpayer dollars.<\/p>\n<p>Abortion is very much a part of what Planned Parenthood does\u00a0&#8212;\u00a0not cancer screenings, as they lead the public to believe. Their <a href=\"\/news\/new-video-debunks-planned-parenthoods-3-percent-abortion-myth\/\">affiliates perform<\/a> <em>less than 2 percent<\/em> of all breast cancer screenings, which are <em>not <\/em>mammograms, but rather what women can do themselves at home, and they perform <em>less than 1 percent<\/em> of all pap smear tests.<\/p>\n<div class=\"ArticleAd1\">\n<p><!-- \/1011927\/LAN_300_by_250_top_article --><\/p>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1473179053567-0\" class=\"ArticleAd1a\"><script>\ngoogletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-1473179053567-0'); });\n<\/script><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>If the public were as supportive of unrestricted, taxpayer-funded abortion\u00a0as Planned Parenthood and their political allies are, there would be no need to lie and mislead about services and the percentage of\u00a0clients receiving such services. Planned Parenthood may claim to have support, but it seems that the way they get more support is through\u00a0ginned up figures &#8212; just\u00a0one more way they&#8217;re deceiving the public.<\/p>\n<p>The pro-life movement already knows that Planned Parenthood is full of lies and deceit; they&#8217;ve been <a href=\"http:\/\/plannedparenthoodexposed.com\/\">documented<\/a>\u00a0deceiving people\u00a0plenty of times over several years.
