With over 58 million\u00a0American lives\u00a0lost to abortion\u00a0since its legalization in 1973, countless people from our workplaces, families, and schools are missing. However,\u00a0stories often surface of moms who courageously chose life in less than ideal circumstances.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Here are seven people who have made an\u00a0impact on the world because they were given a chance at life:<\/p>\n

1. Simone Biles<\/strong><\/p>\n

Olympic champion and inspiration to so many, Simone could have been\u00a0Planned Parenthood’s perfect target. Her birth mother was in a difficult situation at the time of her pregnancy and wrestled with addiction.<\/p>\n

We know that there’s a huge racial gap with women of color being five\u00a0times more likely than white peers to choose abortion.<\/a>\u00a0Abortion is the greatest killer of Black lives, destroying\u00a0more African Americans than all leading causes of death combined. Planned Parenthood has also expressed willingness to target preborn Black Americans<\/a>, so\u00a0Simone was fortunate that her birth mom was courageous and chose life. Simone was eventually adopted by her grandparents.<\/p>\n

2. Andrea Bocelli<\/strong><\/p>\n

The masterful Italian tenor would not have been able to share his gift of music with the world if his mom had followed a doctor’s advice to abort. She courageously chose to keep him, and\u00a0he paid tribute to his mother at a concert<\/a>\u00a0many years later. With mainstream support for abortion-on-demand and without apology<\/a>, many moms wouldn’t think twice about following a doctor’s suggestion.<\/p>\n
